A first for me……

Well, this is a first for me (apart from a couple of attempts on our internal blog) - writing a post on an open blog. I thought about creating a blog myself but I think this will be more useful….and fun. I’m really looking forward to Click06 - I co-authored one of the papers being presented. (And that’s a first too!) I’ve got to say, opportunities to spread my wings and attempt new things have certainly come my way this year at my place of work. I hope it continues. I hope other library technicians will join in and contribute to this forum.

Oz biographies online

Last week saw the official launch of the online edition of The Australian Dictionary of Biography. Seeded initially with “..over 10,000 scholarly biographies of significant Australians who died before 1980.” All biographies have been taken from the print edition which is published by Melbourne University Publishing.
