Over at Techcrunch, Duncan Riley reports that the Australian Government has launched a consultation paper on whether the Australian Government ought to have a consultation blog.

Duncan thinks that this is ironic - a consultation paper for a consultation blog - the comments argue the case from both angles.

Responses to the discussion paper must be submitted by 1st December 2007 via email or snail mail. It’s worth a look at just 30 pages with some questions to consider about privacy, security and usability. It’s quite concise compared to your typical government publication.
